Q:  What is the difference between Conditioning and what you guys do?

A: Conditioning is the base phase of athletic development, we develop this base in athletes as well and much, much more. Frequently we see well conditioned athletes that are fit but not fast, or agile or as  injury resistant as they could be with more individualized training. Sport is not just a fitness contest, it requires many different athletic abilities.  Our extensive evaluation will pinpoint what you need to focus on to improve your performance significantly.   We specialize  in developing athletes not over one month, but over years as they mature and develop. 


Q:  If I am already in-season for my sport can Athletic Republic training still help me?

A: Yes!  We are very cautious about training athletes in-season. That said we can work with athletes on certain aspects of their performance to tune them and keep them developing through their competitive season, so you keep getting faster.  If you are coming back from an injury we can also develop a corrective exercise program for you so we can minimize the risk of future injuries. 

Q:  Can you train Teams in Your Facility? What Teams have you trained?

A: Yes!  We have worked with many teams in the region, and are club/ team neutral regarding training opportunities.  The following teams we have worked with 1-3 years running now-NH Junior Monarchs (3 years), Concord High School Football (2 years), Express U16 Girls Academy Team (1 year), Bow Girls Varsity Soccer Team (2 years), UNH Field Hockey (select players) (1 year).  We work with the team coaches to build better athletes, with this continuity teams will achieve top results, the proof is in the results!

Q:  How is Athletic Republic Training better than doing lifting at my local gym?

A:  Athletic Republic programs are science based and individualized.  Each athlete has a sport specific program designed to take their performance to a higher level.  This is based upon addressing the bottle-necks in their performance 
be it strength, flexibility, power, movement mechanics and speed. We have certified training working individually with athletes so our quality and training experience are unsurpassed. 


Q:  Who is Athletic Republic and what is Acceleration Training?

A:  Athletic Republic is the new name of Frappier Acceleration Sports Training.  We are 160 facilities (and growing!) nationwide and internationally.  The pioneering programs and patented equipment used in Athletic Republic’s training centers were developed over the preceding two decades by Athletic Republic President, John Frappier, M.S., Exercise Physiology, and our Chief Officer of Science and Technology, Steve Swanson, M.S., Biomechanics.


Q:  What does Athletic Republic do?


A:  We train athletes to be the best they can be, based upon their individual bodies, skill levels and interest.  Our programs are custom-designed for your body type and your specific sport’s physical demands to help you reach your full potential.


Q:  How do you train athletes?


A:  We train athletes to improve their movement skills, specifically speed, power and agility, through training programs we’ve developed based on years of research into how the body responds to particular stresses.  We’ve helped develop the full potential of over 500,000 athletes to date, in closely monitored workouts consisting of 20 - 26 sessions taking place over 6 - 8 weeks.

Q:  What kind of equipment will I train on?

A:  Depends on your sport and your goals.  Our training equipment includes the Generation II Super Treadmill, with incline capabilities up to 40 percent grade, speed capabilities up to 28 miles per hour, superior shock absorption and various handlebars to facilitate our training protocols.  It’ll train your anaerobic capabilities, so that you can sprint and recover faster.  The Hockey Treadmill is made of our patented and specially lubricated, ice-like surface.  It tilts up to a 32-percent grade and can operate at speeds over 16 miles per hour.  A safety harness keeps the athlete stable during the workout.  SprintCords and videotape can elevate the Hockey Treadmill to a premiere status of training efficiency.

Our Plyo products—both Plyo Press and Plyo Platform—improve your power and agility during dynamic motions, like jumping, cutting or bounding, in a safe and effective environment.  Our patented cord technology trains you in specific sport motions, increasing power and strength and allowing you to kick, throw or hit faster and farther. The Pro Multi-Hip improves the strength of key muscles of the abdominals and hips—important but often-overlooked muscles essential to high performance.  The point is you train on custom-designed, patented equipment that provides real, measurable improvement.


Q:  Who’s my Athletic Development Specialist?

A:  Every one of the trainers at our facilities is educated in physiology and/or sport science, and they maintain regular tune-ups to stay current with advances in athlete training technology.  They’re your personal coach, on hand for your workouts, monitoring your progress and fine-tuning your program to tweak you to your personal best.  We teach you to train smarter, not harder, keep you fit through your performance season and guide you through any necessary injury rehab and performance nutrition.


Q:  How does Athletic Republic membership work?

A: We encourage athletes to develop year round, and incentivize them to do so through discounted training fees, if they commit to an annual program with us.  We believe that if you have continuity of training throughout the year we can keep you healthier, and keep you developing and getting faster through out the year.
